I hope this letter finds you well and that your family is remaining safe! Please accept our sincere gratitude for your patience and partnership with us as we prepare for the reopening of our schools for the 2020-21 school year.
Based on guidance received this week from the Arkansas Department of Education, we are making several key changes to our reopening plan for the coming school year. For all students, the first day of school will remain Monday, August 24. Please see below for the specific changes that may apply to your family:
- For students in all grade levels choosing the virtual option, there will be no changes.
- For students choosing the in-person option for grades pre-K through 2, the school week will include instruction five days a week, with Fridays being a half-day. (Previously, Fridays were set aside for at-home enrichment activities.)
- For students choosing the hybrid option in grades 3 through 12, the in-person portion of the schedule will begin on Monday, August 31. Additionally, the school week will consist of two days of in-person learning and three days of virtual learning. (Previously, the in-person portion of the hybrid schedule was to begin on October 12, and Fridays were set aside for at-home enrichment activities.)
