KIPP Delta News & Press

Coronavirus Updates & Resources

June 8, 2020

While we did not expect to close out the 2019-20 school year remotely, we are very proud of our students and employees for their willingness to adapt in rapidly-evolving circumstances and their commitment to continued learning and education. We are grateful and proud of the #KIPPDelta family as we embraced the ‘all in this together’ mindset, leaning in to assist our community in as many creative, fun, and helpful ways as possible. As we look forward, it is unknown what school will look like in the fall. However, there is one thing we can be certain of: Learning will continue!

KIPP Delta Public Schools will follow guidance from the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) and the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) to determine the safest way to reopen schools, virtually, in-person or a combination of the two. As we follow the state directives, we will continue to assess the greatest needs of the district, prioritize projects and tasks to ensure a successful transition, and provide continuous communication with parents/guardians and students as decisions are made. We encourage families to visit this webpage to see the latest updates and information. We will also share information on our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and by robocall.

As we make preparations, there are many complexities to address. We ask for your support and patience as we follow state guidance to make the best decisions possible regarding the safety of our #KIPPsters and KIPP Delta staff. Thank you!
