KIPP Delta is a free, open-enrollment public charter school. However, we do not receive state funding for our facilities or many other programs and
resources that are critical to our students' success. Therefore, we rely on the
generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations to fund our capital
building projects, extended school schedule, and unique enrichment opportunities.
We greatly appreciate your support!
ANNUAL CAMPAIGN
Each year, KIPP Delta must raise approximately $700 per student to fund everything from music and art programs to "field lessons"
that students can earn to visit college campuses and historical attractions in
places like Washington, D.C., Utah National Parks, New York City, and the
Southern Civil Rights History Tour. These funds also pay for our extended
school schedule (teacher salaries, materials, Saturday School lunch, and operating
costs) and help us use the best technology to improve data collection and
analysis and drive student improvement.
FACILITY CONSTRUCTIONAs a public charter school, KIPP Delta does not receive state funding for our facilities. Therefore, we depend
on private donations to provide safe places for our students to learn and play.
Multi-purpose Gymnasium - Helena
In 2009, KIPP completed major construction of a multi-purpose gymnasium to
house our growing competitive sports programs and school functions, such as
graduation and science fairs. The McCloskey family and Norac, Inc., generously
contributed a lead gift of $1 million to fund the gymnasium, and local donors
Bettye and Dick Hendrix and the Helena Health Foundation have made
significant gifts as well. Donations are still needed to successfully
conclude this campaign!
High School Facility - Helena KIPP Delta Collegiate High School is currently housed in a modular campus
funded by a grant from the Walton Family Foundation. As the school grows
to prepare more students for college, we will soon outgrow the modular
buildings. KIPP Delta is currently seeking lead donors in our campaign to build
a permanent high school for Delta Collegiate that will provide adequate lecture
and lab space for our students in their rigorous academic pursuits.
Middle School Facility - Blytheville
In 2010, KIPP Delta will open its first campus outside of Helena, in
Blytheville, Arkansas. We will begin with a 5th grade class and then add
additional grades each year. We have critical short-term and long-term
facilities needs for our KIPPsters in Blytheville and need our help to provide
the best possible learning environment for these students.

DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that allows you to donate directly to a teacher's classroom needs (such as library books or microscopes for a science lab) and receive project updates from the teacher and students. Click here to learn more about how the program works.
