Each spring the State of Arkansas administers the Benchmark Exam to students in
grades 3 – 8 in all public schools. This test measures how well students have learned a set of academic skills established by the state. State criterion-referenced tests allow us to see how well our schools performed in a given year as compared with state standards and local district and state averages. Teachers also use individual student data throughout the year to address specific educational needs.
