At the high school level, the State of Arkansas administers four criterion-referenced tests to assess a student's mastery of a specific course; the Grade 11 Literacy Examination and End-of-Course Examinations in Algebra I, Geometry, and Biology. These examinations are developed by Arkansas teachers and the Arkansas Department of Education and are aligned to the course Curriculum Frameworks.
Note: Some 8th grade students take the Algebra End-of-Course Exam and are included in the data below.
