KIPP Delta is a uniquely rural cluster of individual schools. KIPP Delta currently operates an elementary, middle, and high school in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. Over the next ten years, KIPP Delta will grow to twelve schools in four communities.
In 2006, only 226 students graduated from one of 21 low-income districts in Eastern Arkansas prepared for college*. The goal of the KIPP Delta organization is to double the number of college ready seniors graduating from high poverty districts in Eastern Arkansas by the year 2019.
Current Schools
* KIPP Delta defines "college-ready graduates" as graduating seniors who scored at least 19 on both the math and language sections of the ACT, thus exempting them from remedial classes should they continue to college.
