About Us

KIPP Delta is a growing network of KIPP charter schools offering a free, college-preparatory education to children in the Arkansas Delta.

Our schools are part of the national network of KIPP - free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools with a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life. There are 82 KIPP schools serving over 21,000 students nationwide. All KIPP Schools share a core set of operating principles known as the Five Pillars.

As an open-enrollment charter, any student willing to uphold the Commitment to Excellence is eligible to attend a KIPP Delta school. Many of our students come to KIPP performing below grade-level, but with hard work are soon excelling in advanced curriculum. The common thread uniting every student at KIPP is tour dedication to “Work hard” and “Be nice”.

What makes KIPP Different?
Our schools are different from traditional public schools because we have a team that is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to help students be successful. We have a longer school day, and hold classes two Saturdays per month and for three weeks in the summer. Students frequently stay after school and contact their teachers by phone at night. For their hard work, students may earn the privilege of participating in extracurricular activities, and the schools frequently reward student performance with special events and field lessons.

KIPP Delta is held to high standards for academic results and financial discipline by its Board of Directors, KIPP National, and the State of Arkansas.
